Changing your mind about your situation is hard to do! Many of us have negative thoughts running through our minds every day? These negative thoughts can actually ruin our lives!

Negative beliefs can make you feel like you can’t do anything right and make you feel like a screw-up! Maybe you feel like you are never going to be good at anything in life?

If you think about it, some of those thoughts have been running through your head from a time when you were really young.

Make it happen for you by changing your mind about your situation

Maybe you heard all your life that you are lazy or stupid? Or perhaps you’re told you were incompetent and slow? How long have negative thoughts been running through your head? At some point, you may actually believe you are lazy, stupid, incompetent and slow.

You are more than just your negative thoughts. It may be you are lost in mind-boggling thoughts, and you need to take control to get your self right. There is a way in which you can plant a new positive seed of belief that is much more positive and uplifting.

Affirmations are statements that empower you, and when repeated every day to oneself they impose convincing positive beliefs. If the thought of affirmation excites you, then you are on the right track.
But there is a catch, affirmations alone are only semi-productive, and without action, the desire may never happen.

Finding the excitement in what you want is positive and very important. It is a feeling world, and when you can feel the affirmation in your soul, this is a good thing.

Many people who do affirmations believe if you repeat an affirmation over and over again, you will eventually get what you want.

Well, this sounds simple, but it can be hard to come about. The untraining and retraining of your brain at first can be tough. So if you follow up with action steps, you can create change in life.

Visualization can be a great way to do affirmations so to bring in actuality temporarily. Nevertheless, could it be that easy? I decided to try this out for myself. After a week I realized that saying the affirmations made me feel good for a while but the effects were not lasting unless I continued the thought throughout the whole day.

Reflection

I decided I would try my own affirmation challenge and reflect on how it turned out. When I had a negative thought I would replace it with, a much better thought affirmation.

Now, I was working consciously with affirmations.

Day 1 (Monday) How am I feeling today? Do I feel comfortable in my situation?

Today I am feeling worried about my day I have a lot to do.

Conscious Thoughts Affirmation – I am content today – I meditated today all is well with me – I took my vitamins and went for a run I am beautiful –  I spent a little more time on myself

Day 2 (Tuesday) Am I feeling grateful? What’s the top priority in life right now?

I was feeling happy about my successful day yesterday.

Conscious Thoughts Affirmation – I feel blessed with all that surrounds me – I went for a walk in nature, organized some stuff in my life – I made a to-do list with the most important things that needed to be taken care of.  I am happy to be here – I looked around and found what I was grateful for.

Day 3 (Wednesday) Do I love myself? Where do I want to be in the next six months?

I love me but sometimes I feel unhappy in my endeavours and get mad at myself.

Conscious Thought Affirmation – I have the perfect living arrangement – I cleaned my house I have a fit body – I went for a run I am a wonderful person in the process of great change – I worked at getting my business organized

Day 4 (Thursday) Who are you? What do you want to achieve?

I am feeling down because I feel I am not the perfect version of myself

Conscious Thought Affirmation – I experience love where I go – I allowed myself to feel the love around me I appreciate all that I do – I stayed present at the moment living in the now I love and appreciate myself – I smiled at myself in the mirror

Day 5 (Friday) What can I learn from this experience? What are you passionate about?

I feel good because I followed through all week and I will continue to do this.

Conscious Thought Affirmation –  I deserve the best and that is all – I treated myself to something special and it made me feel special I am successful at all that I do – I finished a task that was extremely difficult I am kind hearted and want the best for others – I arranged a get together with friends
