We are struck by a situation that we don’t understand and we feel it is out of our control. Most likely it is something we haven’t ever done before. How do we build confidence when we feel unsure of the situation?

Hey, unfortunately this is life! Although there are things you can do in your daily life to help build confidence. It seems to happen when you least expect it! Maybe you are confronted with a difficult task or something you created was a huge fail and you don’t believe in yourself. You feel insecure and afraid to face the world.  I cant is your only thought. I want you to know that it happens to the best of us. Try these simple tricks to feel better and get your confidence back.

Take Care of Yourself First

Self -Care is a must if you are feeling not confident. Taking care means looking after your physical and emotional health as well as your social health.How To Build Confidence So You Feel Great

So, get some exercise in yoga, go for a walk or jog, play with your kids, go for a swim whatever you do make sure you make time to breathe and get your heart rate pumping and brings up your energy level.

It helps to take your mind off whatever is making you feel uncomfortable and less confident. If you can involve your friends in a game of tennis or baseball that works even better for you. Eat healthy foods instead of junk food. Dress up a little this makes you feel better about yourself because you look good. It is also a good time to get some extra sleep so you feel refreshed.

Be Mindful of Your Thoughts

It is a good idea to be mindful of your thoughts right now. Replace those negative thoughts with more positive thoughts. Make a list of good feelings so when you become negative and worried you can delve into your positive list and feel better.

Visualize Your Circumstances in a Positive Way

Set up an scenario to visualize and imagine your situation working out perfectly. Add some humour and smile while you are going through the motions. Imagine your doing the best you have ever done. Maybe getting a promotion why not? The sky is the limit!

What is the Worst Thing that Could Happen?

Unless it is something where you are walking a tightrope what is the worst thing that could happen if you screw up? Remember we are not perfect we can only do the best we can. If you give all you got you will be great so if you can think of the worst case scenario and laugh about it it will settle the nerves.

Volunteer Your Time and Help Out

Honestly, volunteering is a great way to make you feel better. Volunteering and helping someone with there problems aids them in feeling better too! It is nice when we know we are making a difference in someone’s life. There are so many ways you can volunteer in this world. Shovel your next door neighbours driveway, knit baby hats it really does not take much.

Positive Affirmations

Make some positive affirmations tell your self you are beautiful smart handsome awesome the best whatever it takes find the words inside that will affirm that you are an awesome human being and you. Say them out loud so you really feel it. It works if you say something uplifting in the mirror so you can see your reflection. Say these statements until you believe them.
