What Is the Pythagorean Number Chart?
The Pythagorean Number Chart is a foundational tool in numerology that connects the letters of the alphabet with the numbers 1 through 9. Each letter corresponds to a number, and those numbers help form what’s called your core numbers — like your Life Path Number, Destiny Number, Soul Urge Number, and more.
Here’s a simple version of the chart:

Here’s a simple example. Let’s say your name is Anna.
Using the chart:
- A = 1
- N = 5
- N = 5
- A = 1
Add the numbers: 1 +
5 + 5 + 1 = 12
Then reduce: 1 + 2 = 3
In this case, the Expression Number is 3, the number of creativity, communication, and joy.
You can do this for your full name, your middle name, your partner’s name, even business names!
